I object to this kind of prejudice from all of you sister-fucking, land-grabbing, soup-taking, Billy-boy Prod bastards. Why can't we all just get along?

These starting points worked for me:

I'm still waiting for 'Until the End of The World'.

Yes, yes they were.

Radiohead at Reading in 1994
Steve, you're spot on with your description of Pablo Honey. I heard it at a party when it first came out in the UK and, like most of my music-loving friends, felt it was a weak album with a good single but that this was a band that wasn't going anywhere.
At the Reading Festival in 1994,

Ninja Tunes and Mo'Wax accounted for about a year of my life, along with marijuana, daytime TV and Lee Scratch Perry.

I used to looove Ninja Tunes, but haven't been back to the well for a while. Luke Vibert did some great stuff for them, but there was always a problem of quality control.
They had plenty of samplers you can probably find online.

Michael Winner
is a boil.

@ La Pipe. Most of the film's target audience had probably read the book by then or had a pretty good idea what it was going to be about. It was a big seller and was being passed around. Great book if you haven't read it.

Caged Horse tells the truth. Morgan's new show on CNN might be marginally more watchable than his predecessor's though. Morgan has managed to parlay his crapness into a massively lucrative career, mostly by apparently having no shame at all.

That's how I choose to understand this grading system. No-one expects Machete to be the Godfather II. Fuck, we all know it's not even going to be Pulp Fiction, but as long as it features spectacular nakedness and ludicrous violence it's going to be a huge success on its own terms
Posters from this will be on dorm room

Once upon a time in Mexico featured Ruben Blades, which automatically makes it tolerable. Add in Depp, Banderas and Hayek and who cares if the plot makes sense.

@ Lexicondevil. You're right. I did mean "I just called…"
What a turd that was.
But good point on Lionel Richie.

Turl's right about Ebony and Ivory, but Stevie Wonder also made "Hello", which is a hell of a step down from Superstition or Innervisions.

This film looks horrible, but Zager & Evans FTW
I haven't heard that song for ages. Wikipedia has this unintentionally hilarious paragraph:

Here he is talking about his childhood polio in an excellent BBC documentary:

Ian Dury is one of my heroes
er, that's all really.

I'll flip ya. Flip ya for real.

I'm still hoping for a MYOF on Until the End of the World, the film Wim Wenders made after Paris, Texas and Wings of Desire. It took about 10 years to make and was meant to be his masterpiece, shot in 15 countries, including undercover in China.
IMDB says it grossed $750,000 in the U.S..
It also has a great soundtrack.
