That's pretty much what happened… except it was already good to begin with.

Community didn't start out mediocre. It started good, then by the 7th episode it became brilliant.

It was at it's best in Season 2, and that was only decent.

And the "I farted" joke was from the South Park episode "Two Days Before the Day after Tomorrow", with "I broke the dam" (well that's where I recognise it from) . I'm not really supportive of them using old simpsons and south park jokes like this, unless it's a subtle reference.

How the hell did it lose Outstanding Directing in an Episode to bloody Modern Family and How I Met Your Mother? For fucks sake Cooperative Calligraphy was filmed in just one room and it was way better and way better directed, these shows don't even hold a candle to Community. This is bullshit.

This show is my childhood
It's practically televisual perfection in my eyes. I started watching this show in 2005 when I was 11 years old and fell in love with it.

I don't think I could wait until midseason for new Community, it's too long, and that would also mean no Christmas or Halloween episodes.

Community finale is getting broken up over 2 weeks
I'm really annoyed about this, also they have pretty terrible names. "A fist full of paintballs" and "a few paintballs more?" seriously? They could have at least tried for some class-like names. Even "Modern Warfare 2" would be better (in fact that would be epic).

I enjoyed the episode
but I did feel that they didn't go in depth with anything where they should have. To be honest they should have scrapped to Tobolowsky storyline and/or put it in another episode.

Dan Harmon is quite openly a Fallout fan through his twitter feed, without out a doubt it was an intentional Fallout reference.

I'm hoping that 'Wise with great advice, but blissfully ignorant of his racism and intolerance' Pierce comes back, considering what he said after getting stabbed with a pencil, I think he's coming back.
