It's totally worth checking out. The Amazo story is (I think) the second issue. The first issue is written by Damon Lindelof with art by Jeff Lemire, and it's pretty great, and then there's a neat Joker/Mad Hatter story that's three issues long,

Great reviews as always.  I don't know that your criticism that "I understand why Calvin was brought in, but the reveal that he’s working
with the Maquis doesn’t exactly sting, especially in comparison to
Ensign Ro’s ultimate decision in “Preemptive Strike.” " is fair, though, since "The Maquis" aired a year or two
