They're more than horses.
I can hardly contain my disappointment about the omission of Who Will Cut Our Hair When We're Gone?, the amazing composition by The Unicorns. Nothing repeats on the whole record. No choruses, hooks or whatever. A lesser band would have stretched all the great moments on that one record into

I think Freak Out is generally considered the first concept album. Joe's Garage is one of my favorites.

silly me, I should realize it was about selling colors and noise to noisy kids. Brain size of apricot, so hard think good.

did someone already say cliff diving routines?

More jump cuts!
Ironic as it may be, this video would be more tolerable to watch if the dancing was shot more clearly. Even bad dancing is better if shot with a stationary camera, rather than MTV Cribs-style with unnecessary camera movement. I'm thinking of David Byrne on Colbert a few weeks back. Or anytime people

It's a damn shame the genre gets marginalized the way it does.

I am not convinced
sorry AV Clubbers, but as a person who was raised on The Simpsons in their glory days, It's hard for me to accept the fact that the show just isn't very good anymore. I remember the days when the show was overflowing with so many great jokes that they could show sign-based gags for a split second

slayin' em fast, doin' this that and the third.
I still tell run around telling people to buy Illmatic.
I try to avoid generalizations, but if you say you like hip-hop and you don't like Illmatic, that's like saying you like the guitar but think Jimi Hendrix wasn't any good.

Kevin McHale the basketball player?
I was hoping initially that it would be Chevy Chase and Kevin McHale in a Caddyshack sequel/remake about the 1986 Celtics. Starring Rodney Dangerfield as Larry Bird!

thanks for the link. Its always nice to hear the source material. I called It Takes Two a famous sample, rather than finding the original, because the Lyn Collins sample from It Takes Two has been re-used instead of other artists sampling Think is different ways. Dizzee Rascal and Ultramagnetic MC's come to mind.

walk it out
I walked out when the power went out at the theatre.

wooo!, yeah!
Mr. Tim should have just quit beating around the bush and sampled It Takes Two. Instead he remakes a famous, frequently sampled loop using chris cornell's voice. Apparently it takes more than these two to make a thing go right.

I had a friend with crohn's disease who couldn't eat complex carbohydrates (or something) and he fucking lived on pork rinds. He also appeared to be quite unhealthy at all times.

prison wine, I didn't know you had it in you. You even made up a disease you wanted him to die of. Impressive.

The soul plane 2 concept above is hilarious. I would love to see a list compiled of wacky movie premises offered by commenters. I feel like I've seen more than a few gems.

Marmite is from England. Marmite is disgusting. It's a concentrated yeast paste with the consistency of gear grease that tastes like concentrated yeast. Not suited for consumption by anyone but peasants.

tasteless metaphor
are the salt and pepper shakers glued together side by side or at the base? Either way, a terrible way to season your food.

The Zevon/Skynyrd pairing is double ironic because Warren had a song that specifically makes fun of Sweet Home Alabama.
sweet home alabama, play that dead band's song. Turn those speakers up full blast, play it all night long.

Tomorrow Is 2014
Give me the Unicorns. They're people too.

agreed. I used to think Adult Swim was funny when I smoked weed constantly, but back then I thought the washing machine was funny too. Venture Brothers however is a spot-on satire of Johnny Quest and the other 60's era cartoons.
