Might I remind you all that they're still making the Narnia films, and I'm pretty sure not even die hard fantasy fans are even bothering to buy tickets at this point.

@Joel— I demand a big-budget Discworld film asap. Especially if they can make it on-par with Going Postal.
Dan's non-understanding of technology should be grating by now, but I'm still finding it highly amusing. Maybe it's Whitford.
@GoutPatrol— I went to an all-girls high school where every play, no matter how many male roles were included, was considered. I played a man like every season, and I am *ahem* not likely to do that in future.
@Wallet— That's because Chris Rock DIDN'T EXIST UNTIL HE WAS SIXTEEN.
The biggest movie in middle school was "10 Things I Hate About You." I saw it many times.
I had a screenwriting teacher who loved "Paul Blart."
Thank you, Carlitos. Although I tried to be an overeducated liberal elitist, I often have gaps in my knowledge, and I appreciate your post. I knew Chavez was a bit crazy, I didn't know he was bordering on dictatorship.
I concur— the 2nd was better than the 1st, if only because it didn't need to do plot-type things. Still, I think the Eden plot could have gone further and funnier if it had tried.
I talked to a writer who worked on a TV show that had a syndication deal, but only in Europe! The first season never aired beyond 5 episodes in the US, despite being an LA-based show, but they continued writing and producing it for many more seasons just to put it on the air in Europe.
Back when FOX thought they could air the next Pokemon they took a bunch of anime shows, dubbed them past recognition, and aired them out of order, only to cancel them 5 episodes in.
I think the drop of gravy on the napkin has already dried up, even.
I have faith
I definitely saw some forward momentum this episode— I get a sense that the writers are realizing they can't continue the DA/Jack romance in this strain forever, and Dan seemed to relent by telling a "Dan and Jack story." Jack also seems much closer to accepting and appreciating Dan, with all his…
I had the same thought! But perhaps all flat rooftops look alike.
Why are decent actors going to be in this movie, again?
@Skunk Ape— Because everything steampunk is fucking terrible. It's all visuals, no content. You can put some gears on your top hat but that does not make it good.
League remains one of my favorite recent bad movies to watch— you're really fueling my need to see this, Tasha.
It has a 00% on Rotten Tomatoes. I am so there. This could be the next Van Helsing!
I am thinking both your examples prove my point.
Like Burn Notice
This show wins me over even in the weaker episode. I agree that the female leads need something to do— especially the Lieutenant, who seems to have no purpose whatsoever, but there's enough fun stuff going on that I don't care.
