yeah, going by the show's logic, he could have kept everything a secret  until the war was won, which would have given him access to the bridge until he could tell Walder to go fuck himself. in the books the reason he had to marry her right away was because he had taken her virginity and she'd be considered dishonored…

this obviously has to happen. i'm not sure if Robb's order to let Ironborn who weren't Theon go home free was in the book, but it's definitely setting them up to sell Theon out in exchange for their lives, and Ramsay will probably kill them anyway.
