Yeah, that's one of the only Voyager episodes that I really like. If it had been like that, tonally, throughout the show, then it probably would have been my favorite Star Trek series.

Yeah. I liked this one. I'm definitely more invested in this show now than I am with Modern Family.
Exactly. She was great in season one, but now they're just making her kind of smarmy and bitchy.
Yeah… I might be done with this show. I thought this was pretty bad. It's just the same "zany" stuff over and over…
Is this about regionals?!
Alright, I guess I'll be the only one to say it, but I liked it too, Todd.
I am COMMUNITY!
In regards to the live audience:
I don't mind it here. I've always had the mindset that there is nothing inherently wrong with the multi-cam, audience set-up. This and many other fantastic shows use that format. The problem is more just that shows that have live audiences now use it as an excuse for bad writing.
I actually think All in the Family (for the most part) still holds up really well. But you're absolutely right about the others. Cheers, Mary Tyler Moore, All in the Family, and Dick Van Dyke are all still excellent.
"Is there an Ernie Pantuso here?"
"That's you, Coach."
"Speaking."
You guys should definitely cover Daria. It's a lot more skillfully written than people give it credit for, the characters are (mostly) very good, and it has a lot of potential for analysis and discussion.
I agree. This one was somewhat funny, and it was definitely a step in the right direction. I particularly liked the scene in the sushi place.
Me too. I was particularly impressed by the Quinn story. Dianna Agron has always been very good, but tonight was the first episode in a very long time that she got good material.
Yep.
I do too, but I think she's still kind of a weak character. One week she has a group of friends, and the next week she says "I have no friends." They just don't really have many solid details about her, and she's not used very well.
That's exactly how I feel. I keep wanting it to go somewhere with the characters, and it never does. It's a funny show, sure, but unlike Community, etc., it never develops. The characters stay the same week-to-week, mainly so that they can keep using the exact same jokes week-to-week.
The thing is, it's a very "safe" show, and that's what the voters like, unfortunately. They want a show that's traditionally funny. Modern Family is very traditional, and yet the mockumentary element makes it seem just a little bit unique (even though it isn't.)
Yeah, definitely. I have no intention of ever watching this crap or anything like it, but wow - that was fantastic, Todd.
Yeah, that'd at least be more interesting than the way the show is now.
I second the request for Extras.
