I thought they left it ambiguous as to who was cooking at the laundry when Walt was gone.  Walt asks Jesse if he had been cooking but when Jesse answers yes he could have thought Walt was referring to the Mexican lab.  I think Tyrus has been studying/doing the cook.  No?
