I literally just typed that list in a text to my wife, with Vedder being the last. I didn’t make the Final Destination reference, though I wish I had.

I ran the Marathon last year, but since the 5K was part of the medley, my friend and I ran it at a “Just Don’t Get Hurt Before Monday” pace. We were back in the 10-minute group just to make sure. But this year, yeah, it was bad with people in the wrong place.

That happens way too much, people lining up in corrals too fast for them. In the Boston 5K, I was in the 7.00 corral and almost killed myself running into a walker less than a quarter mile in. If you’re going to walk, go to the fucking back...

What bothers me most is when the water is before the Gatorade. I will invariably spill the Gatorade on me, and I want the water second to rinse it, or I’ll be sticky for two miles.

You made me check my Garmin, and my last 3 runs of 6, 3, and 5 miles had average cadences of 174, 175, and 176 respectively. My best half is 1.40.19 (also trying to get below 1.40), so maybe before my next one I’ll fool around and try and average over 180.

It's been the Afghan Whigs and Brother Ali for me this week.
EDITED TO ADD: The Kool G Rap/Lil Fame/Freeway track "Wise Guys" is pretty great, too.

Right?

The close of that episode - from Dule tapping to Nas/Damian Marley, to Lassie with the kids, and the pure joy on Roday's face, may be the best closing sequence of the entire series.

Oh, no…"C'mon Son" is the safe word.
You know that's right.

Let's get super-creative and have a Burn Notice/Touching Evil crossover and see how they handle that one.

Wait, really? I follow him on Twitter and didn't see any mention of that. Damn, I like him - wishes for a speedy recovery, with Tad Cooper at his side.

In spite of the fedora, I actually really grew to like White Collar. Tiffany Amber Thiessen was never hotter than in the last couple of seasons.

Agree on the feel of that first season. And, for some reason Sharona was too fish-out-of-water in San Francisco to me, but I didn't notice it until the contrast with Natalie.

My mother-in-law has the same car that Gus had, and I refer to it as The Blueberry.

My wife and I still use this phrase to this day.

Agreed - they've been in syndication lately, and the Natalie years are much better than the Sharona years.

Maybe both, but I'm not sure his target audience is going to be "plugged in" people. I'm playing a lot of catch-up with respect to some policy issues, so I appreciate the clarification.
Also, I'm a teacher, so there's that possible connection with his style.

He's someone who will show up in something, and I immediately smile and know it's going to be an enjoyable turn - his episodes of White Collar recently came though the syndication and that's my most recent example.

"Timothy Olyphant was great" is evergreen…

Kind of like when people retroactively call Faith No More "nu-metal" because Korn said they liked them.
