Having Sen Dog repeat anything in his raspy yell is an immediate improvement over, well, anything.

I saw them at a CMJ conference in 1995, at 10am. They are not a band for 10am. I think they were good, though.

Hopefully it's a GIF by the middle of the week.

I thought she had a good role in Runaway Jury, too.

Don't say "hi".

I'm so happy that keeps happening. It's probably my favorite running gag.

It wasn't necessarily a total hip hop album, but Lovage was a very strong record.

Norah Jones adding a sulty "mother…fucker" is always welcome in my house.

I had pre-ordered the vinyl and forgotten when the release date was, so it showed up earlier this week. It doesn't clearly say that you have to play it on 45, so I was very confused for about 30 seconds. Then, when it's on the correct speed, it kicks much ass.

The Perceptionists (Mr. Lif & Akrobatik) have a new one out today, and it's terrific. It's so good, I haven't gotten to the Tanya Morgan record or the Cunninlynguists EP yet.

Of course it didn't. Probably helped.

You are indeed correct.

Do you remember that they put out a CD of on-air stuff? They did a signing at my record store, and they were just awful. Disrespectful and thought they were WAY more important than they were. I've actively rooted against them since.

I did notice that - and I had forgotten that John Singleton was involved with this show.

I really enjoyed a lot of this series, but Carmen getting her dad's approval, overcoming the stage fright, winning, and Bash's genuine jubilation was probably the best moment for me. Loved it.
And if you told me at the beginning of the series that Carmen would have had such an impact, I would have laughed. But the…

I had the same thought - I'm actually impressed that they didn't take it that direction.

I watched this on July 4, right after watching a clip of Denise Richards in "Drop Dead Gorgeous", and I think the two characters are kindred spirits.
Easily my biggest laugh so far.

I very much liked the MC Eiht record that came out today, with DJ Premier having a huge hand in it.

I had a similar nausea-inducing experience with the first Blair Witch Project, and that (otherwise killer) opening act of Saving Private Ryan.

"There's a three-second rule. Industry standard."
"That's for food!"
