I have long been of this opinion. I almost think his Thomas Crown Affair remake might be his 3rd best Bond movie.

I go with Enemy of the State first, Last Boy Scout a close second. Before he died, I told my wife that if I died I wanted Tony Scott to direct a memorial video of my life, because that would be the one way to make it worth watching.
I think mine would be NHL 95, because it was great, but also because after Craig Mack wore a Tampa Bay jersey of Chris Gratton in his "Flava in Ya Ear" video, we would make Craig Mack references anytime we used Tampa Bay.
Her Skinamax-women's-prison-movie:
I have to say, I knew about him but didn't know THAT much…but all of the RTs from Dart Adams yesterday, from some of the heavyweights of hip hop really opened my eyes up as to how respected he is/was. I have to go dig out some of those projects he's on.
I was a junior-to-senior in college in 1995, and program director for my college radio station, so there was a whole lot of "fuck these guys for signing to majors" attitude in my social circle.
This is exactly how I would have phrased it if I got here 2 hours earlier.
I'm glad someone else remembers Butt Trumpet.
Shit, Ma.
This should get 14,000 upvotes.
Yeah, we went from originally scheduled to be out the 12th, to now getting out the 23rd. But, the kids are super-motivated, so…
I thought he said, "Abso-fucking-lutely it was 30 years ago."
I have a wide range of comedic taste - from cerebral to a-guy-getting-hit-in-the-nuts humor.
As I mentioned in the Faith No More review comments.
Excellent summation.
I will admit that I very much like Songs For A Blue Guitar, even though it flopped. I also know an ex-girlfriend of his, and despite the fact that he was colossal dick to her in a relationship, she, I, and our mutual friends still like the music a lot.
Nobody wants to recognize his work in House Party 3? Savages, all of you.
You say that (and I did, too), but you'll find yourself growling at someone to "put the motherfucker on the phone" in your everyday life, and chuckle.
Patton. Statham. Patrice Bergeron.
Yes they did, and I was very happy - other than, noted above, we didn't get "Take This Bottle", which is the song I would absolutely choose if I were ever forced to compete on The Voice.
While I do like some individual songs better on Paid in Full, I think Follow The Leader is just a better cohesive album. My friend and I have a running conversation about the best three-consecutive-song-combos in hip hop, and Follow The Leader/Microphone Fiend/Lyrics of Fury is definitely one of them.
