Wait you saying that Julian Glover wasn't great as Pycelle? Julian Glover was awesome.

He picked up the same problem I had with Season 1 of Californication, his character was too milquetoast. While I think that season was pretty fun, I'd have loved if he had been a bit more of a challenge to Hank.
True about the dragons and fantasy. That's why I said the dragons were on a relationship level with humans at least equal to that of the Starks and the direwolves. Though I suspect that Tyrion is right when he pointed out to Team Meereen that some maesters believe dragons are as intelligent as humans. Based on that,…
I agree, but the show has eschewed some of the more fantasy elements, for cleaner story telling. No talk of magic horns, or hidden caches of dragons eggs. Rightly or wrongly so, the show focuses on the human characters, rather than the magic.
Just like Mitt Romney
I take a more realistic view. The three dragons were also raised by her, hand fed and cared for by her. Assuming the dragons are at least as intelligent as the Stark direwolves, that could explain their connection to her, without going into a more magical explanation. This could be an example of stream lining the…
With the streamlining of some of the fantasy elements, I don't think "tests" are needed at all. As the Battle in Meereen showed, Dany was able to command all three dragons pretty easily. Since we never got a lot of depth into Rhaegar and the 3 Heads of the Dragon (the only person who could have gone into that is…
Saul is excellent. It's allowed more levity, (The Cobbler Episode) which is undercut by the dread of knowing where the story ends up. It has some fan service call backs, but it is all organic and doesn't necessarily feel forced.
Bigamy was allowed by the Targaryens. Aegon the Conquerer had two wives (who were conveniently his sisters). And by all accounts Rhaegar did seem like the honorable guy. We don't know what the relationship was between Rhaegar and Elia. Nor Rhaegar and Lyanna. This is why I hope we see a Tourney of Harrenhall flashback…

One of the great deleted scenes on the DVD is between him and Tywin. The old feeble man bit was an act. Apparently that was a request from Julian Glover, to keep the character interesting for him to play.
#NotAllTargs … I think the prevailing wisdom is show Dany is immune to fire, and book Dany is more fire resistant.
I've got two pillars for you McNulty.
I think it was close enough. If you look at early 20's Sean Bean, it's enough of a resemblance to be plausible.
Thank fully the KL Homicide Division will get the clearance. If I learned anything from The Wire, a case doesn't go from red to black without the green.
To quote one of the Lannister soldiers with Ser Meryn Trant…"He had a nice voice"
While it was probably more of a nod to book readers, as "Frey Pies" ties into a story line in the later books it references the story of the Rat King that Bran tells to Meera and Jojen when they are in the Nightfort in Season 3 (just before they meet Sam and Gilly and Hodor is all like 'Hodor' when Sam says Jon talks…
I went to a small Catholic high school. We went on a trip to France. Since our group was so small, to fill the bus there was another a group from an evangelical high school that traveled with us. I remember I said "not bloodly likely (I was going through a Monty Python phase, despite being completely American)" once…
I saw Jonathan Pryce play The Engineer from Miss Saigon in The West End when I was a kid, and will watch him in anything. He was fantastic as the High Sparrow.
