The metaphor (and practicality of filming wolves) makes sense. The fortunes of the Starks failed when they split up. Wolves are strongest as a pack.

Leave the direwolves alone! Gah.

We all carumba.

Make 7 Up Yours!

I'm intrigued by your point, since I would figure gold's malleability would make it difficult for all-purpose armor, or at least durable armor, especially for the cost. (Assuming that the gold is pure and not an alloy) For example, obviously that gold is very dense, which I'm assuming would make it effective against

Boatghazi!

Also gold armor seems impractical on many levels. Maybe gold plated armor would be work, as a decoration over a stronger steel.

In the novels, her characterization is interesting. There isn't a consensus on how beautiful Lyanna was, and I remember one of the POV characters actually questioning what the fuss was about and how she was plain. (Though that might have been Cercei). However what everyone agrees on is that she was a spirited woman,

The episode where Lisa did the voice for the Fairy Godmother, Jacqueline even says "My Rachel is turning into a Phoebe". BOOM.

Also how he just sort of avoided a question by telling a Grandpa Simpson like anecdote.

The Reeds are cool, and if a scene they teased in the "next week on" is book accurate, we should get to meet Howland Reed, Jojen and Meera's father.

I read an interview with Michael McElhatton. He played Roose as if Roose would eventually kill Ramsay, once it was a confirmed a son had been born. Ramsay just beat him to the punch.

You could also see some Edward III for inspiration. He was King at age 14 after his father (Edward II, or the gay prince from Braveheart) was deposed by his mother and her lover Roger Mortimer. When he came of age, he overthrew his two regents, and went on to a long and successful reign.

And if I recall, Henry VI's consort was a Margaret.

I love that plot line from 30 Rock, that Kesley Grammer, who was at one point the highest paid actor on Television, likes to spend time grifting and hustling.

His helmet (from the trailer) is immortal.

Not really. He was making a very salient point that while technique/skill is important you also need the right resources.

It's more an Albany thing.

Though I do think they do a good job hiding the spoilery bit, since they'd gotten other celebrities to do cameos. When I heard the voice, I figured it was just keeping in line with getting Kelsey Grammar to mesh with Kimmy's sense of pop culture being stuck in the 1990s

Which of course ties into the earlier season joke about how both Kimmy and Jacqueline both get "crotch headaches" from the animated Fox from Disney's Robin Hood.
