I've been disappointed with the Faceless Men storyline. Like…why did he turn her away at the B&W door, then randomly change his mind when she was fighting in the alley? Why do they refuse to answer her questions and act all angry and mysterious at her? What was supposed to be so damn ominous about washing the guy?

Well if it's December 1st in Buffalo, you can probably assume heavy snow is imminent without a weather report.

Yeah, and it's hard to tell what he gets out of it if he's not plotting against the Boltons. Marrying off Sansa, on its face, basically only gets him favor points. He's not getting any extra territory out of it, which he could if Sansa were his actual daughter. So either he's going to kill the Boltons, or leverage the

At the same time, it's still just a thing.

Yes, Gendry

He'd have legitimate benefit in delivering Tyrion to either queen, but yeah, it has to be Daenerys. Even narratively, it wouldn't make sense to send Tyrion right back to Kings Landing (unless they have him swiftly escape, in which case it's a pointless thread anyway).

The continents in GOT supposed to be the size of South American and Eurasia. But there's like 1 traversable path across each, characters run into each other at inns and on random paths, people make voyages in seemingly a matter of days, and ravens deliver messages cross-continent in 24 hours. Agree - I saw Fast 6 in the theater and slept through an hour of it. Woke up during the runway scene.

I don't have strong opinions on Trevor Noah's tweets. And I don't have a strong opinion on Patton Oswalt. But Oswalt's argument here is not much more than a very drawn-out strawman.

Straight-up 1900's wizard wolf

Love when the guest or Kulap forces Howard to defend his ludicrous assertions, and you can hear him verbally squirming to explain himself. And the crazy thing is, he usually makes sense by the end of it.

I do recall Ron Swanson getting sloshed on blueberry wine on one occasion.

The Zombies - "This Will Be Our Year"

And one of the most notable key changes: the "mmmmmm" Cash hums before each verse is him finding the new key.

I thought Kimmy empathizing about not being a "perfect footslut" was a good callback to the her admitting that "yes there was weird sex stuff in the bunker."

"The year 4000 is severely disappointing. I miss the year 3000 when life was simple and brains flew through space and everyone ate lasers."

If you read the wikipedia page for that song, they make it seem like some seminal, critically-lauded piece of art. I never remembered it being received that way at the time…it was just a goofy pop hit that I thought was a BoDeans song.

I'll use this excuse to promote another Chicago comedy festival in its second year, this one independently-operated: https://comedyexposition.co… (Full lineup not out yet)
