Nice.
Steve Hyden, you got through the entire review without mentioning Bon Iver.

That's too bad. You're missing out on like two albums of good stuff.
This feels very Wes Anderson-y
Hopefully it will be good. He's always had a bit of an affinity for kiddy stuff, just usually in a very different context. I will see this movie.
"This is also notable in that it's the only time Kristol has ever been right about anything in his life."
You actually made me LOL, Scott. Kudos. If I were Billiam Kristol, I would stop being Billiam Kristol immediately.
I'd have to go with Automatic as the last of the string of great, ealry-ish R.E.M. albums. I'd also argue that it's their peak and that they had nowhere to go but down afterward, but I know that to be an unpopular opinion.
Jay is still pretty much the best thing on radio anymore. Pretty excited for the new album and seeing 50 Cent embarrassed again.
Dude, the clowns form Akira
I would not want to fuck with those guys.
Was the "B" backwards?
I'd say Lou Reed if he hadn't already proven himself to be immortal.
WHY THE FUCK ISN'T THE OBITUARY IN ALL CAPS?
SHOW SOME RESPECT, NOEL MURRAY.
I'm okay with this
As long as Ron Paul still wants to kick his ass, I see no problem here.
Wow
This is about what I expected after Roger Eberet shat all over it.
My friend's mom used to (sorta) work with Steve Doocy before he came to Fox. Apparently, he is the most retarded human being on the planet and has been for a while.
That's really the nice thing about Wolf Parade, though. Boeckner and Krug's kind of works as foils to one another. Boeckner's jagged new wave stuff sounds a lot better when mashed up against Krug's proggy stuff.
Honestly, Beyond was how I got into them and it's great. I'm too young to have gotten into them the first time around and the buzz surrounding Beyond piqued my interest.
I think only guitar players really realize how great a guitar player Johnny Marr is. He's really not flashy at all, he just has a tendency to throw weird, awkward chords in there and not give you enough time to move between them without screwing up. To most people, though, it just sounds jangly and pretty, which is…
As a skinny, whiny guy, I concur. I'm going to need a copy of this record. The sample track is kicking my ass in all the right ways.
Best SR record yet
I still don't like it as much as a Wolf Parade record, but, outside of Wolf Parade, this is the best thing any of those guys have done. "Apollo and the Buffalo and Anna Anna Anna Oh!" is particularly awesome. Spencer Krug has an incredible talent for writing lyrics that I have to read and listen…
Still, it's Will.I.Am. That's the guy responsible for the Black Eyed Peas.
The Onion Movie?
Way to risk piss off your bosses, A.V. Club!
