Totally agree. Although I'm a staunch Einar defender, I thought he was a genius lyricist, especially on 'Here Today Tomorrow Next Week' (although his 'singing' was a bit much on that one compared to the first album), and I thought his 'hype man' onstage persona helped bring a lot of punk energy to The Sugarcubes shows

Yep. Various B-52's songs have been on constant rotation in my mind since the 80's. not necessarily the best ones either. Especially that Fred Schneider-led song that goes "there's a moon in the sky / it's called the moon / and everyone is there… followed by a recitation of the planets, and the "this is the space

hmm, I binged-watched the first season a few weeks ago and i love it. Strange to find out that nobody else here is a fan. I may be the only one, but I am very happy there will be a 2nd season.

"the entirety of The Pink Panther franchise"

Wire.

i can confirm that yes they were a 'destroy you with volume' band, at least in their '90-'93 heyday.

i've got some really cool old manual Olympus Zuiko lenses from the early 80's that i regularly use on my new-ish Canon DSLR, with an adaptor ring. The 55mm fixed lens works really well for the product photography stuff i do for work. Amazingly sharp for such an old lens, easier to manually focus and  better optics

I'm someone who just recently started actively listening to The Cure. I never really listened to them back in the day, so i am coming into it from a fresh, mostly non-nostalgic perspective (though I generally enjoy the music of the UK post-punk era, so there is that bias).

Neurotica is my current favorite album. i only just discovered it last month. How i missed hearing it for the past 25 years i don't really know, especially since at one point i had a girlfriend who was a huge fan. but i've been happily rockin' out to it every day lately. this new one seems pretty good too, though i

Sadly, rated R nudity these days often just means a lingering shot of some old dude's ass. seriously, the ratings people need to be more specific about listing the type of nudity in each Rated R movie. It'd be helpful to know ahead of time if the nudity is actually fap-worthy or not.

@ARRIBA just for the record, Throwing Muses in '89 were really great. Saw them at a headlining club gig, one of the most memorable shows of my younger years.

seriously, what were they thinking?
"Okay writers. this lighthearted movie is funny but not quite funny enough. How about in the 2nd half, we kill off a main character in a depressing way. Because that's comedy."

if the Coen brothers directed it, it'd probably have an annoyingly unresolved ending, such as: Giant ghosts gather on the horizon to attack the city —> Cue end credits. or everyone on the Ghostbusters team gets injured or killed and the ghosts win. The End.

a 60's Lincoln Continental seems like too nice a car to trash now, but back in 1981 it was just another 15-year-old used car. The studio probably picked up a non-runner for a few hundred bucks at most, slapped on a quickie paint job, and voila… fancy luxury car. not something that would have busted the budget of any
