Timon and Pumba by themselves are all the reason I need to leave The Lion King off a list of the best of anything, ever.

This. Aaron Paul's a great actor; it would be a shame to see him get typecast as a "stoner/loser/sidekick" character actor.

Love him or (as seems more likely) hate him, you can't deny that Ron Howard made a great movie with Apollo 13. I doubt it'll make this list, but I'd have it somewhere on mine.

Titanic's got an outside chance of popping up somewhere (though I can't imagine it being placed ahead of anything from today's portion), but there's no way Forrest Gump got anywhere near it. The AV Club seems to think (correctly) that Gump's an overrated bucket of sentimental slop.

@avclub-3a04d36f2c53226d9c27c607cea5e299:disqus I hope you were being sincere about the first part, at least, because "you CLOD" seriously needs to make a comeback as commonly used insult.

I think that those of us dudes who are more, shall we say, attractiveness-challenged wouldn't mind a bit more objectification in general.

I dunno, @avclub-105b4118389c1db271a632d514d33bd9:disqus , did you see O'Neal lay the smackdown on a random commenter over in the comments for the "Movie 43" trailer? @avclub-bf3eb25e65e1f87dab76829f15a0907a:disqus is just trying to avert disaster here.

You just need to start out with the best episodes to get a taste of just how good MATES can be. Give "Toblerone" (26) and "Teddy Grahams" (21) a whirl before giving up completely.

Big fan here. I've been a bit baffled by the lack of love for MATES in this column of late. Especially this week—Mike and Tom were just hilariously pissed off about how bad the snack was.

Let's also not ignore the fact that teenage girls today seem to be really into the idea of having an emotionally abusive creep for a boyfriend (see also: Twilight). Wuthering Heights seems ripe for a resurgence.
