What I noticed reading it was the pains to which he went justifying every little contradiction in the plot — contradictions you probably wouldn't have even noticed if he didn't bother to point them out. My God was that one of the worst books I've read.

Anybody here ever read The Bourne Identity? I read it a couple of summers ago, determined to finish it, but I thought it was terrible. That said, I liked the Renner Bourne all right. Hate to see a sequel's on the back burner.

Yeah, I remember me and a friend of mine watching it on VHS shortly after high school once I learned it was what inspired them to put Jason in a burlap hood in the second Friday the 13th. Though we watched it, I didn't remember too much about it until recently, save for the vague sense that it wasn't very good. Well,

Ah, I don't know why I like it so much. It's just so damn goofy.

I never noticed that. That's hilarious.

Agreed. Despite its reputation, Moonraker's really good. Probably my favorite Moore film.

Yeah, it's kind of surprising, if you think about it, how actually prolific he was.

Oh man, me too. Glad I'm not the only one. Though, I follow Moore on Twitter and he's always posting pictures and stuff and he always looks pretty good. Hopefully he's got a few more good years left in him.

His presence in Moonraker's responsible for one of my favorite Bond lines:

Holy fuck!!! Kickstarter says George Lazenby's gonna be in it! How awesome is that?

Thanks for this. This article had be scrambling around trying to find out what I could about it. I think I'd heard about it before, but not much beyond that. That said, I did do a quick search on YouTube to see what we were dealing with and pulled up the, "Now, I'm telling these sons of bitches. . ." Anyway, dude's

Yeah, Boardwalk's the kind of show that needs seven seasons. I mean, for fuck's sake, True Blood got seven seasons.

Yeah, I'd rather have a shortened final season than nothing else at all, but I do feel the show's gotten the shaft to an extent. As I've said elsewhere, the decision to kill Richard makes a little more sense if, at the time, they thought they had three or four more seasons left to go. If they were only planning on

Yeah, I noticed that too. Seemed to have a lot of his mannerisms down pretty pat.

Yeah, that was really infuriating. Like I said in my big ass post above, it's like they give it to us, give us a taste of it, then take it away. Real disappointed about Richard.

Yeah, Season 4 wasn't my favorite, but you can't help but admire the deliberate plotting and pacing. Love how it all marches forward to a breakneck finale.

Yeah, I like Gillian.

SEASON 4 SPOILERS

Yeah, I think Season 3's pretty solid. Sure you could make the argument that Gyp's a big cliche, but when you've got a show like Boardwalk Empire you can kind of see the line of thinking where maybe they thought, hey, wouldn't it be cool to see our hero go up against one of these guys like that? And once they did it,
