I think I'm the only person to really despise the first season. I forced myself through it, and then hit season two and suddenly respected what the show was doing. But that first season just errs way too close to a standard cop show.

The cover of Storms is fuggin gorgeous. Some of the other covers are a little limp - the Rhiannon cover is bouncy and effervescent and the complete opposite of what makes that song great. For Fleetwood Mac fans, the band does a killer version of the 2004 live from boston album.

Fiddla Please.
I clicked on the link expecting to be enraged - OH MY GOD THEY CANCELLED THAT?!
I have a feeling i'll be defending this season throughout the next few weeks but yeah - Hearst is a bit like Smallville.
Great article but I don't get how people liked the miniseries. I found it to be clunky, over the top, bad sci fi nonsense at its finest.
I actually think that seasons four and five still have their moments and great episodes. And the failures, of which there are quite a few, are often still fascinating enough to keep watching.
Yeah, I couldn't stand how old man-ey this episode made me feel. Chris Elliot's practically showing criminal negligence with the bee suit, Ted or Koontz could've gotten hurt because of Barney being a dick, and Lily is not so comically prepared to be a mother.
Beet it?
I'm rounding off viewing the end of season two of The Sopranos and so far I'm loving the experience. Since I was watching it with family, we watched 2-3 episodes a day. But here's the trick - after we finished the first season we took four days off.
I'd argue that the trick isn't to steamroll through a binge or let the…
