No, he certainly isn't avenging Ned Stark but I think his ultimate goal is to see that Joffrey isn't king for very long.  He knows the boy is deranged and so he has to go and if that means his nephew dies so be it.  I am sure he has some real sympathy for Sansa's plight and the very precarious situation she is in so

I don't think he actually hates them, & he now has his father's grudging respect and a recognition from him that he does have a great mind and can be very useful in securing their power throughout Westeros, which is their ultimate goal.  He may be seriously sickened by his twin siblings but I don't think he would

I don't see that angle either.  I think the fact both previous King's Hands were murdered is a huge motivator in the way he's manipulating people like pieces on a chessboard.  He has no intention of ending up as dead as they are so he's securing his position of power as well as making sure no one kills him.  I think

Ah, but the Romans intermarried as well.  They often engaged in incest.  Yes, Joffrey had a spoiled upbringing, but
his psychotic cruel streak didn't come from being a spoiled brat.  There's something organically wrong with him,
and in my opinion, this being fantasy and all, I choose to believe it's because
he's the

He swore an oath with the bannermen when they proclaimed Robb king of the North.  He has in essence committed treason against not just the man he called and accepted as his king but a young man he grew up with, who called him brother and who's father raised him up to be honorable and treated him well his whole life

I so hated seeing Theon Greyjoy betray Robb Stark for people who though blood don't really like him and are only using him to get what they want, but really who didn't see that coming.  I mean, for those of us who never read the books.  Greyjoy will regret this, and I know Robb surely will, so it will be interesting

Oh lord, is he going to f…this up?   After "Inception" I was just starting to like him as a director. I sincerely hope not as I was looking forward to seeing Bale's Batman swansong.

Last season certainly had it's unforgettable moments (Russell Edgington ripping the newscasters spine out on live t.v. was priceless), but taken as a whole this year was the best so far.  And it set up for next season to possibly be great.  If they write it well it certainly has potential to be Emmy nominee material.
