Yes, womanizing, cheating, abusive former drug-dealers who died before the age of 30 are often the best role models for todays youth.

I was really excited about Lupe when he was starting out. I heard and enjoyed 'Kick Push,' and bought the album. Ultimately about 5 or 6 good tracks, but enough to be hopeful for a maturing sound and person. So much for all that now. I'm at the point now where I'm not even giving it a listen when something new is out.

I saw that. As much as I would love a chance to meet Ron Swanson in person, I can't say I have any desire to see this movie. And the shows he's attending are either sold out or close to it. Can't really justify waiting in line outside an hour or more to watch a movie I don't care about, for a Q&A which may or may not

Real life "This is Spinal Tap" my friends. The dynamic of the main three in each band is damn near identical.

I did read it, guess I missed that line in my speed reading. Having no accent at all almost seems as shitty as terrible accents. Curious decision.

It's getting to the point that I can tell which reviews are Tasha's without looking at the byline. Especially when it comes to middle-of-the-pack mainstream fair like this, I feel like I know what Tasha is going to say before she says it.

The only real question is how do the accents hold up? Or mire specifically, how do they conpare to 'K:19 the Widowmaker.'

I would argue there are a thousand different ways to describe something without that accursed word.

I got far enough in to hear Tasha's opening line "I liked the meta quality of the evening."

And for the record, I would say it was tacky and tasteless to use 'ye old "C" word anytime. One of the few words that's never ok. To use it for a 9 year old is double tacky.

I hadnt seen anything about AVC being involved, every headline I saw just said the Onion.

So I just saw the excitable newswires on the google about The Onions pretty damn bad tweet regarding Q Wallis. I'm usually for all kinds of offensive humor, but god damn.

I would like to see an updated membership roster.

They probably will. Chicago not being listed yet is surprising, so I guess we can expect a Lolla announcement down the road. Fucking Lolla man. I just can't do that shit, and a lot of the bands either can't or don't come back to town for a regulat show. BooUrns!!!

Ah, no worries in the long run. Sympathy appreciated though. Really just needed to vent it out.
Turned into a bit of a running gag for us the rest of the weekend, such as when we went out to dinner on Sat: "So over dinner, let's discuss that great film we saw!" and so on.
Actually, the only time I've ever watched "2001"

That's good analysis on "Informant." I do think you summed up the tone he was going for. And I've accepted that just because I wasn't laughing, doesn't mean it's a bad movie. It's just not a comedy for me. My subjective nature formed my opinion while seeing it. I would imagine seeing it alone while on the road for

So I may very well be in the minority here, but this movie pissed me off. I didn't find it funny most of the way through, and the reveal of his mental illness in the end just made me depressed. I've discussed this with folks before here, and it seems to be mostly due to the tricky subjective nature of comedy.

What did I get from pop culture this weekend? A swift kick in the dick, that's what!

Brass tits sound kind of hot, but damn they would give a girl some back problems.

Are they reading the play or the film script? Baldwin's bit is only in the film, if I'm not mistaken.
