I was really excited about Lupe when he was starting out. I heard and enjoyed 'Kick Push,' and bought the album. So I may very well be in the minority here, but this movie pissed me off. I didn't find it funny most of the way through, and the reveal of his mental illness in the end just made me depressed. I've discussed this with folks before here, and it seems to be mostly due to the tricky subjective nature of comedy.
