I didn't hate it, but it's definitely overrated.  Luckily, Card turns out to be more of a douchebag by the day, so it keeps getting easier to admit that you don't get what the big deal is.

I think the recipe stolen from Blais's book was something that Blais had thought up and written down while he was there, so it wasn't brought in with him.

I have to say, I kind of wish they'd just stop having people bake cakes. It's hard to bake a good cake from scratch and it's kind of a different skill set from being a chef. People either cheat and do it from a box and get yelled at, or it turns out crappy and nobody likes it. Just have 'em cook.

If you're disappointed in the state of the Science Channel, you should turn to Planet Green, the environment channel, which mostly schedules shows about UFOs and ghosts.
