I don't include myself in the "Gaiman haters" group but how often are awards indicative of talent, one way or the other? I'm sure anyone can name writers they don't like that have won awards.

The wintering in a small town section of the book was the only part I liked. The rest I thought was a great idea poorly executed, and mostly just disappointing.

What if I shave the seal first?

I don't understand what you mean. Can we see a montage to drive home the point?

Why did Erik think Hanna was ready to make a trip across Europe when she would be baffled by things like fluorescent light bulbs and ceiling fans?

She not only got there on a river barge, but beat the CIA there by 15 minutes, when the CIA has stuff like, airplanes and cars.

I just got back from seeing this and the accent baffled me. I kept wondering if it was supposed to be obviously fake and then tried to figure out why it wasn't so strong in some parts of the movie and was super strong in others. It was bad.

Pfft.

yay
So they really did give it away in last week's preview when they showed Richard standing to Padma's right, and her saying "you're the top chef" while looking to her right.

Lame. I used to like his show, but they're all kind of the same now.

Hey, guys…
Wasn't Tony Bourdain supposed to be a judge this season? Anyone seen him lately?

I watch it when it's on
I'm not hugely interested in the show or the contestants (to the point where I can't even tell most of them apart), but the competition portions are pretty entertaining, including the super slow mo. I'm glad to see I'm the not the only one annoyed by the "coming up" part which frequently gives

Says the man named Krull.

I love the bad guys in this. Hell, I love this movie, period. I've never seen the sequel, though, because I'm afraid to find out how bad it is. But this movie is definitely underrated.

Every time someone gets stabbed with a V tail, it reminds me of the movie Splice, which was painfully stupid. So it kind of fits in with this show.

I've personally never had problems with iTunes on Windows. It's a little rough around certain edges, but nothing that would cause me to raise my fist to the sky and curse Apple. Admittedly, my idea of "playlist management" is "find song and hit play," so maybe I'm ignorant of the way the software is frequently used.

Gibbons first name is really Ronin? Huh.
I like this show a lot, mostly because I like Wysocki (even if he comes off as a little too, uh, certain? Perfect? One note? Something.) and Evers, and I even kind of like Ol' Flashdance. I do wish it had a more confident voice in what it was trying to be, but hey. I hope

Yeah, I totally miss the days when consumers didn't have as much choice in purchasing, didn't have a good way of finding out if they actually wanted what they were buying before they bought it and didn't have a million ways to discover new music. Damn you, "Steve Jobs."

Huh.
You think someone would have subtly suggested to the precious snowflake that the way she's singing is really grating. Friiiyyyyyyday, Friiiiiiyyyyyday…
