Just please keep the character Scottish for the movie. The X-Men movies have a terrible habit of overlooking minor but important character details in favor of hair and a cool power set. There are so, so many ways they can screw this movie up. At least Bryan Singer's not involved . . .

Oh, that's provocative. Did you come to make an argument, or just generally drop a turd in the punch bowl?

And here I was trying to have a nice morning, and you drop some Hannah Arendt on me. Sigh.

Oh, God. This place is going to become even more insufferably self-important now, isn't it?

If Trump has done one positive thing in this office, it's that he has given SNL an opportunity to be genuinely funny and subversive again. And they have taken that opportunity, with some really classy talent.

That's go to be the generational difference there. I tend to think modern comics burn through story at an astonishing rate, to the detriment of both character and plot. (Greg Pak's X-Treme X-Men immediately leaps to mind as an example.) Claremont often took years to set things up, but he has a level continuity and

I couldn't say. I guess I'll go with . . . piss off?

Honestly, I kind of trust the bears more than I trust DeVos.

The first response is dead-on. At the beginning of the school year, we buy a ton of copier paper, pencils, etc., and give it to our son's teacher. The school sure as hell doesn't buy that stuff.

Search me. I suspect it's a population thing, but who knows?

Gorsuch wouldn't be my pick for the Supreme Court (which, for what it's worth, would be Erwin Chemerinsky, but nobody asked me). But the guy is not as hardcore as Scalia was (particularly on social issues/individual rights), he is qualified, and most important, he is very suspicious of executive overreach. He will

There's actually legislation pending right now to split of Nevada, Washington, Arizona, and Idaho into a new 12th Circuit. Setting aside one's political feelings about that, I have to wonder where they are going to get the judges and staff to accomplish that. The Ninth Circuit has been severely under-staffed for close

I actually practice in front of the Ninth Circuit a fair amount, and I love how everyone just assumes it's this super-liberal place because it sits in San Francisco.

Or they could, you know, not watch it. I'm sure they could find something disgusting and low-brow enough to suit their tastes, like maybe the Human Centipede films.

I don't know a soul who thinks the clock tower levels were fun. And yet they put one in Every. Single. Game.

Alucard: Hey, Dad, the library is getting weird again — what are you doing?!?

This comment just gave me violent flashbacks to every clock tower level ever.

It's bizarre how millenials equate Chris Claremont's run on X-Men, which is one of the longest and greatest superhero comic runs ever, with a Saturday morning cartoon that aired on Fox in the 90s.

It could be. Lyta Hall was a very specific character, The Fury, with a similar power set to Wonder Woman in late 80s/early 90s. She was definitely from Earth 2. Post-crisis, she and her dead husband lived inside an abused foster kid's head for a year or so before she got kicked out by Dream of the Endless, who claimed

If there was just a finding recently, the lawsuit was ongoing months ago.
