Agreed, but things can only stretch so far before it kills narrative momentum. Every time a new issue comes out, I have to go back and read the prior ones because (1) the chunks of story on a 20 page comic are so short, and (2) the length of time between them makes the story very difficult follow. If the book doesn't

No official renewal yet. It will probably get picked up for a second season by spring.

Impossible to say. But as network TV shows go, it really was.

This run has a ton of potential. It's too early to say whether it will be a success. It would help if they got the issues out on time, though.

This is an odd left turn for the story after last issue, which was building up the Casey/Danny the Street story so much that I thought Sam was out of the picture. But hey, Sam can definitely the story a bit more grounding than it's had thus far.

I like this series. I particularly appreciate the direct callbacks to Morrison's run. I just wish they could get it out with some regularity.

The Fate of the Furious does not sound like a real movie.

I agree that it's insane to think this wouldn't be made into a movie. Studios aren't in the habit of leaving money on the table.

Meh, I liked Fantastic Beasts. I didn't think there was anything particularly offensive about it.

I didn't know they actually got the Log Lady in there. Good for them.

In FFXV, I always thought Gladio had more that role. I used Noctis more for his magic stuff anyway, since he was the only character who could do it properly and not kill my whole party.

Oh, and even perfectly playable games heavily borrow from the concepts:

They absolutely do.

It wasn't a tropical island, though. It was clearly in the Northern Pacific.

I love Persona and Dangonronpa, but yeah, I know what you're talking about. Really, it just a different set of storytelling norms than Americans are used to, and it's pointedly not to everyone's taste.

The twist is Sixth Sense is either dishonest or inept. Toni Collette pretty much addresses Bruce Willis directly in at least one scene. I suspect what happened was that primary photography wrapped and Shyamalan realized that the movie didn't really have a plot that required both Bruce Willis and Hayley Joel Osment,

I haven't seen The Visit, but I think your opinion is reasonable. I liked Unbreakable, but I think there's a strong case to be made that it was not that good.

Punch Drunk Love is one of my very favorite movies. Normally, I have trouble even looking at Adam Sandler. I think Paul Thomas Anderson is just that good. (Although PTA has gotten a bit too pretentious lately, no?)

I think Unbreakable is his best by a mile, though I have not seen The Visit. I deeply dislike The Sixth Sense, but it's effectively made enough to make it into the #2 slot for me.

It's hard for me to judge the quality of the Village because I got caught up in the last half hour or so.
