IMHO Shyamalan was always a modern day William Castle, and his films have always been roughly that quality. That's not meant to be an insult; it's about knowing what you're good at and sticking with it. Maybe now that he's figured it out his films will be much more fun.

I too was mystified that the movies didn't even come close to doing Colussus correctly until Deadpool. My hope is that they keep the character around for New Mutants and keep the sibling relationship between him and Illyana, because that was something special.

NIghcrawler was my favorite. Dazzler was okay. With the exception of Cyclops and maybe Storm, no one's powers worked like they should have.

I usually played as Nightcrawler just because he seemed to cover more area with his power.

I don't think you can get that many people to watch this all the way through, unfortunately.

I don't know about its special effects, but this is a surprisingly great movie. I've seen it win over audiences that went in openly hostile to its concept.
