What about this film was even remotely tropical?
What about this film was even remotely tropical?
Don't ask.
I think it was a purchase by Sony of another streaming platform, and the idea was that Sony could use it to promote their own streaming content. Which was not a bad idea. They went wrong, though, when they forgot to provide quality streaming content.
I was not aware that so many around here disliked Mann's songwriting. That's . . . definitely an opinion a person could conceivably have.
You thought Charmer and Smilers were upbeat?
That is an outrageous misstatement of Savage's position.
Also, if one is wearing a condom like a sarong, one is going to get an STI and/or pregnant pretty quickly.
Both of the things sound dirtier than the words they are euphemisms for.
Wow, it's like Match Gamen with a step missing. The whole point of setting up an obvious dirty answer is to see the lengths that people will go to either avoid it or creatively lean into it. That said, nothing about family Feud strikes me as entertaining or creative.
Didn't Voyager feature a Starfleet crew from the future that was specifically charged with handling temporal anomalies? That seems like that would be an amazing show.
What you just described sounds like an amazing show, the mere promise of which would make me happily subscribe to CBS's streaming service. I wonder why CBS can't figure that out.
"Tension-free minutae" will from here on out be how I describe sequels.
The prequel thing is a big problem, because it severely limits the narrative stakes and consequences. They can't — pardon me — discover anything new or consequential with any significant impact on what's already been done for 50 years now. It's stale before it even gets out of the package.
I am actually about 1/3 of the way through this now. I am glad they eventually get to the more modern stuff. I loved the Lewis & Clark portion; I just got done with the UFO/every-conspiracy-imaginable section and it was more annoying than I would have believed. There's only been wisps of characters I've recognized so…
I liked it quite a bit, even as I realize that it is practically film's modern definition of "not for everyone."
The mythology and mystery of the show was deep. They barely scratched it in the show, then left us on a cliff hanger. The movie was a deep dive all the way on the other end of the show's chronology. My hope is that this season will essentially bring the ethos of the last 4 episodes and the movie to the main story…
Meh, Audrey Horne was delightful in the original, but she was rarely front and center in the main plot. During the show's best period (late season 1 and early season 2), she served more as a distraction by conducting an inept investigation and getting captured by Blackie and Jean Renualt.
But they came around the Lynch's way of thinking, so all's well that ends well.
I'm so sorry. That's not actually peanut butter.
No, he's fine. The show itself gets a bit grating in spite of having a generally taleted cast.
