Caffeine-free soda is fine. 7up is the one I've seen LDS folks most often drink.

So, I live and work in a part of the country with a lot of Mormons. A LOT. I think I have a pretty good sample size to draw some broad conclusions/generalizations. This is not a "one size fits all" screed, but after a couple decades of experience (including them converting my parents!) I have a pretty good handle on…
Normally I would agree. But "child murderer" is one of those few things where even the accusation can ruin your life forever.
That's kind of my feeling too. Normally, I think that defamation lawsuits are ill-advised. But . . . they just called him a child murderer on NATIONAL TELEVISION. He's a private citizen, and he never even remotely came close to being charged. He . . . may actually win this.
A Jeb Bush joke. That is so 2015.
When my husband and I lost our first foster child, I remember the first night being scared out of my mind that he was going to die of grief. It was almost like he couldn't breathe at times. In the light of day, it seemed a little far fetched that you could be so sad that you died.
It truly is the Mississippi of the American southwest. Which is a shame, because it is quite a beautiful state.
So . . . Anderson won't be in this, then?
We can have two things.
Yes, but Lynch will rightfully insist that this thing be rolled out his way. History proved him correct on S2, so I am willing to take this series however he wants to give it to me.
Haven't seen the show, but I am in a same-sex marriage. I can attest that the similarities with other relationships far outweigh the differences, so much so that I often forget that my husband and I can come across as a bit of an anomaly to people who aren't familiar with gay couples generally or gay married couples…
You know what? Colossus was actually pretty good in Deadpool. It was just a completely different character from Colossus in the X-Men films, where he wasn't even Russian.
The character as originally conceived in X-Men, and on through Excalibur, was very fun and one of the more optimistic voices in some pretty dark storylines. After the early 90s, though, I couldn't say. And I never really watched the cartoon; didn't think he was on that one.
Yeah, many of us X-readers were admittedly not fans (myself included). But those who are will tell you about it excruciating detail. And to be fair, the movie portrayals have nothing in common with the comic character.
It's a fair criticism. I'm not a huge Cyclops fan myself, but the people who are will tell you the same thing. For me, personally, the character is so one-note in the movies that it's hard to like or dislike him, whereas I actually despised him in the comics. (I'm a child of the 80s and remember his horrible,…
Beast is a very physical character in addition to being a brilliant one. Kelsey Grammer had half the equation; I don't think anyone associates him with his sheer physicality. I also didn't think he was given enough material for the character, but that's not so much a casting decision.
It's a very good Xmas movie for adults, nothing more or less.
The U.S. isn't a direct democracy; it's a constitutional republic. In fact, the electoral college is sort of an anti-democratic safeguard . . .
Eh, it makes sense in context. In the movie he had been rather dickish to her up to that point, because she was marrying his best friend and he didn't want to let her know he was in love with her. Good movie to watch around Xmas. It's also a movie that will make you feel good, which is something we could all use right…
I've watched Swiss Army Man completely win over audiences openly hostile to its concept. It's almost magical.
