. . . is the name of your mom's sex tape.

Judges rule avatar/comment synergy fully present, but in questionable taste.

"Specifically, the Variety story says his vision is to make Oxygen into a “crime-centric outlet,” and it would naturally be “anchored” by Wolf’s many crime-related drama shows."

That's the difference between a documentary and an allegory.

Or his abs. Of course, most people in One Piece have great abs. Which only feeds into my theory that it's actually what superhero comics would have been if they'd never been saddled with the comics code.

Much better than the tittering lightweight they got to play Luthor.

I didn't realize this — or couldn't articulate it — until I read it here, but you're exactly right, at least in Suicide Squad. It was almost like Smith was in a different movie (which may be a good thing or a bad thing, but still, it was distracting).

He's using the word "political" in a weird way, meaning "there's no direct allegory to current political happenings," which is probably correct, given how long this film has been in the pipeline. But, like the intent of the artist, that hets decided by the viewing audience.

A bit off topic, but the statement that Jabba didn't appear on screen "for real" until Episode VI makes me smile. One of my best friends is a huge Star Wars fan and, when episode III came out, we would take long lunches while he hunted for new Star Wars toys at Wal-Mart. he found a model of the Millennium Falcon ,

Hmm. Interesting list. I would probably put Fifteen Million Merits higher at #1 or #2, and Men Against Fire last, only because I could not handle the hamfisted allegory I saw coming miles away. I'd probably also rate Shut Up and Dance Higher solely on the basis of its uncanny 21st century Hitchcock vibe. But those are

Really, it was the height of restraint not to use the term "Giant-Size Man-Thing."

Do poinsettias count?

Say what you will about the quality of the film, financially speaking it was a decent success. Would have been a runaway success if not for the inflated budget. Definitely not a dud.

I liked it too. I'm not under the impression that it was great art, but it was fun, which was more than I could say for Man of Steel or Batman v. Superman. At least, it was fun for me. Others' mileage may vary.

And you would lose gazing upon Gladio's magnificent abs.

Or under the covers. I grew up seeing that in movies and when I started having sex, I quickly realized that was untenable except in certain, highly specialized situations.

It's a courtesy to both the audience and the women, if we're being honest.

C+?

This sounds kind of amazing, actually.

It's definitely a lot like modern TV criticism, which can be exquisitely irritating in its shortsightedness, like when the Internet was excoriating Westworld for not providing any answers as of Episode 2. (Can you give it a minute? Or do you just want an infodump at the very beginning?) I tend to think that something
