I really did not care for the whole screaming schtick he does until I sat down and watched the show. It's actually quite funny, if a bit lacerating.

Hulu's got a substantial catalog. I think people get tripped up when they see so much overlap with cable/satellite packages, and I can't argue that there is some redundancy there. My house doesn't have cable or satellite, though, so Hulu fills a specific broadcast/basic cable need, and also brings good original shows

That more than the other things.

They absolutely have to start speeding up. This season burned through maybe 2 or 3 issues of the comic. It's the complete opposite of the Game of Thrones problem. That said, I think the pace allows them to excise the elements of the comic that absolutely did not work in favor of more compelling material.

I read the first couple arcs of the comics and I am so glad the show is going its own way. They are taking the best ideas from the original story and taking the time to present them well, without all the juvenile horseshit.

The writing was not great. The ideas were amazing. Which is why I think this TV show is working so well.

Eh, you might be disappointed in the comic. There's a lot of macho-early-90s comic bullshit in there that has not aged well, including some uncomfortable anti-gay material and some truly wretched dialogue. Tulip is also extremely poorly written. If you want to see where next season is going, I would suggest the first

I knew the town had to blow up by the end of the episode when the church didn't blow up earlier, but I really, really wanted that scene with Emily and her kids to be the last scene of the season. It would have been a very intellectual way to go out, particularly if they didn't know if they were coming back for a

I feel like a lot of Zack's criticisms (e.g., tonal whiplash) have their genesis (sorry) in the source material. Though I will say the show has done a much better job of treating its characters with more respect. Yeah, it blew them all up in a gas explosion in episode 10, but that gave us some time to see them as real

Make America 69 again.

I never understood that term. Isn't reverse discrimination actually overinclusion?

Seriously, though. If they found a way to monetize Internet-based narcissism, then they need to patent that shit right now. That's almost better than literally printing money.

See, making the donation was what you were supposed to do. You heard the call to charity and you participated in a way that wasn't showy or about you at all; in my book, you had the best, most philanthropic response.

Here's what I don't understand when people talk about why this did so much good: the rules were that you dumped water on yourself if you DIDN'T give money. And it was only popular because people kept choosing to dump water on themselves. Sure, celebrities did both (to avoid exactly this line of criticism), but how

So, to be clear, the research was made possible by money, right? Not Internet-based narcissism?

It's called a penis, Internet. Quit stroking it.

And Deadpool.

There was also a Game Boy Advance version that was . . . weird. Not bad, but weird.

Castlevania also had a movie camera in the corner of the opening cinematic, as I recall.
