Greek is seriously an enjoyable show. I started watching it one day during work because I couldn't find anything else on Netflix and I thought a guilty pleasure would be fun. I totally got attached to it and by the end of the next day had my wife addicted too.

Don't call it that.

Ah, Bootsie. His constant quibbles with Luke over the most random things were always entertaining. And his Bracebridge Dinner decent into drunkenness is a delight.

@avclub-eaaf6236c28c668e40fdf9b17394b7ec:disqus Chuck had better be the top, because there's not enough lube in the world to oil up that weather-beaten old catcher's mitt.

I don't usually enjoy pop-culture references that are overly obscure (I always feel like it's drifting into Seth McFarlane territory with that shit), but one of my favorite jokes of the entire run of VB was when we find out Pirate Captain named his ship after Manny from Degrassi: The Next Generation.

@avclub-18f18df4a6146deb1b97c2c944b9660c:disqus We finally could have had an answer to the ages-old question, "Can Adrian Pasdar make a TV show so bad that even Adrian Pasdar won't be on it?"

Favorite subtle joke that I'm proud of myself for catching: When Kevin confronts Dwight in the bar, he only says "Well" five times but says he said it six times and that he didn't have any problem counting that.

So have you ever watched an episode?

This was my exact reason for never watching the show too. I didn't start hearing about how good it was until the some point in the second season and there was no good way to get caught up.

That was the silver pepperoni! You could have turned that in for a tour of their factory.

I'm actually okay with this. Chuck was a lot of fun even if it was never the most brilliant thing on TV, and it really did make me feel less negative towards NBC.

On that same note I disagree with Oliver's assessment of Sheldon as being creepy for wanting to see a presentation normally performed for children. We all have nostalgic moments from our childhood that we would literally pay to be able to relive.

Now You See Me seems like it could have been a fun, dumb, summer movie. But the sheer level of obviously CGI'd shots I saw in that trailer alone have completely turned me off it.

The hairier the better.

I think the biggest news here is that there are official Michael Bay message board forums, where people apparently line up to worship his hackey ass.

@avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus That sounds amazing. I think I just found my summer reading project. If I'm going to finish the series I'm going to have to start from the beginning, it's been too long and I have too poor of a memory to do anything else. But it's good to hear that it would be worth it.

Oh, and the people who complain about 11/22/63 being too long just don't understand letting the characters just be characters for a bit. Not every single line in a novel has to move the plot forward. And if you need your reading to be that economical you should never be picking up a King novel in the first place.

Holy shit, I bow to your testicular fortitude.

I swear since MCA died I've seen the Futurama episode with The Beastie Boys in it at least fifteen times. I don't seek it out, it's just always on Comedy Central or WGN.

Edit: Nevermind, I had this tab pulled up since yesterday and hadn't gotten around to reading/refreshing the comments, and everyone else has made the exact same point I did already.
