Don't feel bad, I absolutely thought last week's episodes were the finale too. I guess because it never occurred to me that they would run multiple hour-long sessions of Cougar Town.

I think @avclub-215a71a12769b056c3c32e7299f1c5ed:disqus 's point is still valid in regards to Chuck. Chuck should have been cancelled after its second season based on ratings, but was kept around for three more seasons and allowed to have an actual finale due to the die-hard fans.
