Hmmm, that's an excellent theory but it's not in the RTD fasion. Although it would work RTD only refers back to things that prove important in the episodes if they're very important (eg: daleks cybermen) and obvious exception it the Lazaurous Experiment, but I choose not to speak of that episode…

Let's bet it turns out to be something totally diffrent.

Damn, I knew I shouldn't have gotten the checking account with the hindenberg check book.

I felt the same way with Obama. I would've forever pledge my undying loyalty if he had actually come on, alas. Say, I wonder if they felt rebelious because they told the queen that she needed to get in better clothes.

Well, one of RTD, or just the show in general, flaws (don't get me wrong I love him) is his beginings. He can spin tales of amazing preportion and can cause the strongest man to whimper (me) but they're paced terribly. The show often begins far to fast and everything seems rushed. As a result the plot at the beging is

I think maybe it was poking fun an how americans worship him and put him in everything…or maybe it was just a nice "screw you" from the british. Ah well, perhaps on judgment day Obama will leave RTD behind.

I think I've seen two epsidoes with him (a rani one and a sontaran one) and I just found he was tring to hard. It seemed he was to determined to be like his predessors that it kind of ruined him. I recomend looking back on some 3rd doctor episodes, a highly underated doctor. Are there any particularly good 6th doctor

Well he's better that the president elect who was killed by the tolcafane…that title confuses me to this day.

Jesus, the return of Colin Baker that sounds like a gag-o-rama. Well I supose he was better that 5 but still. Perhaps I should see more with him but still, return to the golden age! Tom Baker is still alive. Although an old sci fi icon returning to the show after it changed drasitcally sounds like a sit com.

That sounds about right

I've seen both those things. Agreed 'ol gandalf was very very mastery. I think Bill Nighy in PR was a bit to lewd and drug oriented for a doctor but I agree his delivree and some and how he acts is quite doctorish. He would be a pleasent return to the older episodes.

Agreed. I think we really can't have them back. First of all it would apeal to the older crowd, something that moffat is doing is making the show for a newer audience. Second we're dealing with RTF here. He ends these things in violent and operatic ways. The key word is end, even though he may enjoy having villains

Jan 1st through 2nd
Whose up for the 21 hour marathon on BBCA of all the tennant episodes jan 1st through 2nd?

Very nice idea about them being in the head. About moffat and the daleks though, I'm fairly certain he's going to bring them back against his better nature. He said that he wanted to make new monsters for a new generation of fans, but I think good 'ol RTD made them closes enough to new villains that Moffat can bring

They should make him older, Bill Nighy perhaps. Or Ian Mckellen…that would make my life complete

I think the episode kinda misused the master. I was waiting the whole episode for Spiderman to come in and thwart his master plan. I mean really, the ability to fly and shoot lasers? But I love Simms master too much to say I disliked him.

Groening did that a lot. He enjoyed making refrences to his pre-simpsons years. You might notice that maggie has a bongo doll.

I blame god for starting it.

Taking the most random segway I can find: hey, speaking of comedy Central here's a clip taken from good 'ol patton oswalts book. A slowed down chipmunk
