I've been seeing promos for Saving Hope for years (as SVU is like the talk radio or oldies station for house TV and it too lives on Ion), and I always thought it was a bland knock off of Grey's Anatomy. So the "the adventures of a coma patient" is both hilarious and baffling to me.

Well, no. Mainly because I know him primarily from his time on MI-5/Spooks.

The Trump surrogate in the header looks disturbingly like the mash up of Bill Laimbeer and Larry Bird.

The Clippers Gambit. Yes.

Sorry, I can't help it. I have arthritis in them and it makes them more pliable.

Oh my freaking god. My plumber tried to lecture me on why I need to fix the main water shut off valve the other day. I said "Yeah, I know. I have a service call in to have it fixed". I repeated it four times before he finally stopped the lecture. I KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T TURN THE WATER OFF. YOU DO NOT NEED

-People who turn off ceiling fans but don't turn them back on before the leaving the room
-People who try to speak to me when I'm clearly in a position where I cannot hear them (like when I'm running a blow dryer or on the other side of the house or behind a closed door)
-People who touch the dash or center console of

For some reason, Avail and Swingin' Utters have been heavily on my mind lately. I loved them as a kid and continue to love the hell out of them to this day. For whatever reason, their songs never feel dated and every time I come back to them, I chastize myself for not listening to them for a while.

Four Minute Mile and Something to Write Home About were my jams in college. Mass Pike on the Red Letter Day EP is still one of my favorite sappy sentimental songs.

I found a bunch of the those bacon-wrapped fillets from Omaha Steaks lurking in the freezer, so that's on the menu this weekend, as well as pulled pork sammiches. I may make some ice cream. I haven't decided yet.

I had a run of about 4 years were I spent the holiday in Canada. July 1 is Canada Day, so a lot of times it's the tail end of a long weekend for them too.

Four day weekend, so I plan on finishing some landscaping projects, swimming in my pool, sleeping late, going to some fireworks, grilling some steaks, and reading books about the British Navy.

Back in the day, I had an interview with the NFL as the admin to the head of officiating. I aced the first round, told them I wasn't a huge NFL fan, that I primarily watched hockey and preferred NCAA football. That seemed to go over well. Came in for the second round of interviews, and they hit me with a round

We're Counting On You

Finally watching Iron Fist. It's as lame and bland as everyone says. If I didn't like Madam Gao so much, I would have bailed three episodes in.

Is it worth picking up? I bailed on Season 1 as it was the bleakest fucking thing I'd ever seen on television and I watch World War II documentaries. Seriously, "TV to eat a bullet to" was my go-to descriptor for it.

The best thing that could happen to the Knicks would be a tragedy in which the entire Dolan family was wiped out in a horrific accident. Or Jim sells them. The former is more likely than the latter.

Four day weekend for me.

Try the veal!

I have a hard time hating on laminate countertops, especially if it looks so much like granite and I can get the fancy beveled edges on it at a quarter of the price. Plus, I'm not worried about the chipping and cracking or the slab splitting.
