That song was particularly stupefying. Didn't help being up here in Canada (where Canadian content gets an airplay boost) but holy goddamn shit, the sheer margarine mediocrity of everything in that song and that "noooooooow" in particular

I remember the House On Haunted Hill remake pretty fondly. 13 Ghosts was terrible, but this one I liked.

I think you're thinking of Basket Case.

The three-pack with the two sequels is a steal. Love me some killer babies.

He'll always be mayor of Steelport to me.

Fuckin JEFF

Gamer-site commenters anywhere are the rat's asshole fondue of the commenting world.

CCH Pounder straps one on and pounds your progression. In the butt. With an H.

Also fun - the customer-satisfaction surveys they ask you to fill out, and explicitly say they're "looking for" specific, very high grades but y'know, "be honest".
I want to take the survey and crap out the ratings just on principle when they do that "looking for" shit, but…eh, can't be arsed

Haha, I was kind of…into them as a kid too (little mushroom-cloud doodles EVERYWHERE) but Threads made me a little sick. The Day After gave me more of a "C'mon, let's get to the nuking already!"

Every once in a while - about the same frequency as with Pink Floyd - I make an effort to "get" The Who.

He's managing his money pretty well since he stopped spending it on solid gold jackal sculptures and shit.

Is that 6 likes, or 9?

Bruce was much like Arnold that way - actor schmactor, he had screen presence and charisma like scarcely anyone else.

Fuck this band to blood dripping death forever.
That said I liked Fredianelli in Apocrypha. \m/

I remember strong camp value in Pumpkinhead 2. I thought Pumpkinhead was a just-fine monster movie, but that sequel was the kind of shit my friends and I couldn't stop talking about.
Not a lot of specific memories, other than "Holy shit Punky Brewster got hot" and there being one of those torturedly long horror-movie

Sure, but we've had a whole generation of manchild/slacker-hero's-journey movies since then to get used to it.
Besides, didn't Bogus Journey leave us pretty much no doubt as to their future world dominance? They could be like a benevolent Dethklok.
OR
Maybe they BECAME Dethklok

That last Xanth book I read - Isle Of View (just say it aloud and groan) - was about a year out of high school, several years removed from the previous last Xanth book I'd read. I think I had a fleeting desire to recapture some rapidly fleeting innocence. It was awful.

Okay, I read it on my break. Can't say I gave the underage-sex angle that much thought as a kid (I was just glad to be reading something that was mildly naughty), and I don't think I've read a PA book since Killobyte so I don't have a lot to offer for an adult perspective on his writing.
But in his…ugh…semi-defence, he

Oh god the agony. I look forward to having memories of this bilge dredged up when I get home.
Though I have to admit, I did keep reading these books - with diminishing enthusiasm - until about 1991.
