Are you saying Rickon Stark is my dad?
Billy Corgan?
I tried getting into Red Heat at 14. Booted out - ended up seeing the movie we bought a ticket for, which I think was The Presidio. Tried Die Hard later that year - denied.
Well, there's always the one guy who inexplicably claims that while everybody else in the band is a talentless clown, Wes Borland is pretty good at…whatever it is he's doing.
Wow, I guess you heard it here: Stephen King, a great director.
Somewhere between Star Wars and Alien…you know, that's actually pretty bang-on, tone- and style-wise, anyway.
I got on board in late season 2 - it was rapidly apparent that the John/Aeryn romance was such an obvious, fundamental building block of the show that I figured anyone seriously rooting for them to hook up with anyone else might as well be watching another show.
I'm surprised/disappointed that there wasn't a commentary track for PKTG - this is the one where the show best gets its shit together early on, and its events spark off at least three story arcs later on.
One might hope for a Dark Tower thing - for a long time it looked like King was never going to bother getting past book 3, and then BANG BANG BANG BANG and he's done.
I fucking love Night Of The Lepus.
It's unbelievably awful, but I don't think there's anything too miraculous about it… it's Metallica, it's Lou Reed, even individually I'm sure they could put out any horrible shitty thing they want. Together, no one would dare say no to them - not even each other.
The Third Society.
Remember when Antoine Fuqua's first shitty movie came out, and all the ads made a point of mentioning that it was "A Film By Antoine Fuqua" even though nobody had any idea who the hell Antoine Fuqua was, as if they were trying so hard, so desperately hard, to make a saleable brand out of Antoine Fuqua?
I suppose they have a case, after seeing that movie I can't count the number of people I convinced to write our MP's with demands to declare war on New Zealand.
I AM GROOT
Look, attitude and atmosphere are all good but the action generally sucks.
And yet, hidefdigest gave Dredd their highest rating.
Hey, who the fuck are you usurping my identity and shit? How did this happen? How did my post get posted under my goddamn me-name?
One of my favourite things on this show is the look on Crichton's face after he's been through something REALLY traumatizing - which over the course of the series happens at a frequency that only Ash from the Evil Dead can appreciate - and I think we get our first look at it in Future.
