He played Ted excellently in the last scene as he was staring out the window. It was the perfect combination of sadness, joy for his friends, and hope.

I couldn't believe it when Jim started yelling at Dwight for being jerk. Even the most committed Jim/Pam lover had to admit that Jim was actually the one acting like a total asshole this whole episode. What the hell does Ted even do nowadays? Remember that episode in season 4 how Future Ted talked about how it was such a big deal for him to be in the "right place and right time" to meet Tony and Stella and get the teaching job at Columbia? Does he even still work there?
Thomas comes off as one of those people who smugly think they're smarter and more clever than everyone else but in fact, it's just the opposite.
So basically Ted hasn't learned anything, and Robin's advice about going after girls with a future was meaningless, and the character has had no development for 4 or 5 years now.
The worst part is that you know the writers are giving themselves self satisfied pats on the back because of how "clever" this twist was. Or as Donna spot on puts it, " the episode seems to expect us to applaud the mere presence of the
twists and turns without worrying too much about whether they have any
meaning."
Andy pretending to be a janitor just to gain some kind of "victory" when it's revealed that he's actually the boss? Seriously, never mind that this would be completely ludicrous in an actual workplace, but even in the Looney Tunes world the Office has become this season it's insane.
If any episode of television deserves an outright "F", it's this one.
I do have an update on your like allotment and that update is that your like allotment is almost gone.
Fascinating.
I thought Robert California was the worst character the Office ever introduced. And then came Nellie.
This was my favorite cold open in a while.
The last time South Park got me to try something, I ended up sending a talking killer whale to the moon.
Anything that gets them hanging out at the bar again is a plus in my book.
Just one of the most disheartening aspects of modern American culture. People are ingrained from childhood that math is hard, math isn't fun, math is for nerds, etc by mass culture/the media. That's why we're something like 30th in the world in math proficiency.
Outraged fanboy response.
