I would imagine there's a lot of straight edge hardcore songs that would fit this category. However i am too lazy to look them up.

I commented on the same in yesterday's article. For as dark and heavy as they were, a great deal of Black Sabbath's songs were against war, suicide, and satanism. Most of the good metal that's come in the last 30 years has no doubt been a result of people not understanding what Ozzy was singing about.

I don't know that two hour Iron Maiden concert I caught the other night was pretty decent.
