Alicia and Eli's glee over Peter having punched Kresteva was so fun to see. And Alicia's line to Kresteva about choking on his own blood was a refreshing note for the show to play, given Alicia's saintliness. John Noble's confession of love was surprising and done very well. Very "Aww!"-worthy.

Next episode, Eli himself leaks it and Peter's numbers go up. (The youths seem to like his prison past.)

If he gets into a fistfight with an astronaut, this is the best episode ever.

In time for Lent, dead Mark Greene's dead father.

On the same episode, no less, when Raylan mentions the Hardy Boys.

I guess I'll mothball "I'm in Tech!" then.

We comment in. the. most. delightful. way.

"Because he was loaded, okay?!"

Will there be bees? Will he bake her an apology cake, Suburgatory-style, to apologize for his sudden but inevitable bee-trayal?

I found "Cloud Atlas" self-indulgent and boring, but at the same time it has received some solid critical praise.

I'm looking forward to season two as well.

I love the premise of that movie. I wonder whether the concept would sustain a more "open" film, with multiple locations and, rather than exposition and dialogue, in-scene action depicting the long-lived man's trajectory.

[replying here re: Angelo]

I'm trying to guess how his living situation will be resolved… They build him a little annex at the car wash? He and Toby become roommates?

I'm betting it's Travis who is made manager of the car wash (now that John will be otherwise employed), but maybe Toby can get in on that, too. (John has several, after all.)

I was also nervous that the show would go the "Bay rebels!" route again, as a reaction to the parking lot thing and the unfair accusation about cheating. Glad to see her being more mature and yet still very much herself. (Her reaction to Angelo's attitude toward the baby; her decision to switch schools.)

Other resolutions I'm glad the episode avoided: Having Daphne forget Travis's birthday and giving us a scene of him alone at the car wash office on his birthday. And like someone already said, I'm glad we didn't get a scene where John gets the nomination behind Kathryn's back or somesuch.

I confess I had a "24" moment when I expected Abu Nazir to be in that last (fake, mole-y) SWAT van, being driven off to safety until Pesky Carrie came in at the last moment.

If he'd only had a lead pipe!
