I remember buying New Miserable Experience along with Fugazi's In on the Kill Taker, liking them both for different reasons, trashing NME later because I thought it wasn't cool and rebuying both because IotKT was damaged and becasue NME is still a decent album.

I caught a Phantogram a few weeks ago and wish they captured the same thing on the album. The set was much heavier and had denser layers of feedback and noise than the album - sometimes bordering on drone. My wife and I were a little disapppointed with the album when compared to what we heard live.
