I think that's great and hilarious in a sympathetic way, that book readers could theoretically be spoiled by (or at least with regard to) the series.

While I do get what you're saying, that a "good" reviewer isn't going to necessarily fawn over a show to placate superfans, I can also say that it does sometimes feel like certain AVC reviewers (past & present) strain to find a contrarian stance, to the detriment of actually talking about the events of the episodes…
