Maybe it's just the age difference, but whereas I always thought comic book Vision and Wanda were sweet, movie Visions's possessiveness and paternalism creeped me the fuck out. I don't think I can take them getting together in this iteration.

It would have worked a lot better if they had bonded somewhat in Winter Soldier, but that would have required putting her in more than 15 minutes of that movie. IIRC, Sharon and Steve don't even meet during the Triskelion assault, and exchanged at most two dozen lines in their earlier scenes.

Eh, that's just some of the splashover you get when you take your Avengers cues from The Ultimates instead of The Mighty/West Coast Avengers.

Sharon Carter didn't get to wear her battle outfit or carry the weird garrotte/nunchaku weapon from the promotional pictures and toys, so I'm guessing her big fight scene was cut. She's also one of the figures in the airport fight LEGO set, so that might have been it, although I have no idea whom she could have

What are the five best things in life?

I don't remember the close-up action being that hard to follow in their Winter Soldier. Could the new IMAX digital camera be to blame for the incessant jittering this time out?

Yeah, one regret upon first going into the show was that both Tigh and Boomer were no longer black.

I don't know where you live, but around here people pay good money for that sort of treatment.

Can't be; the riders end up where that started, not worse off four years later.

Yes, but it's the same beam we just saw topple a giant air traffic control tower in one shot. Which travels slower-than-light, so Falcon has a chance to dodge it, so conversely if he hadn't seen it, he could have pulled up slightly, or just hit an air pocket, and been completely incinerated by the beam. Just a

Or just put him in the casual civvies he loves so much (plus Steve and Sam's baseball cap & sunglasses disguise), paint his face over with some football association team's colors, and no one will spare him a second glance walking down the street.

The whole character in Winter Soldier to me felt like she was obviously supposed to go on the run with Cap and build their rapport for a romance in Cap 3, but the studio decided to add a bigger name, and Black Widow replaced her in the storyline. In the meantime, Sharon just sort of disappears into the background at

I assume you meant to type "main hero."

Does the government even know about the Barton farm? Fury kept a lot of secrets he didn't write down for Black Widow to leak.

As far as I can tell, Steve's telling the truth about knowing that HYDRA killed Tony's parents, but not knowing that it was Bucky specifically, since Zola didn't name names.

They (more like Quicksilver) evacuated the people from the flying rock, but as Zemo himself points out in this film, they did nothing to save those who were still on the ground below.

"Your Highness, would you mind if I borrowed this decorative vibranium disc you have hanging in your medbay commissary?"

Man, I read before that Tony recruited Peter, but actually watching the scene it felt uncomfortably closer to extortion and deliberate obfuscation of the seriousness and danger involved to me.

Also an issue of (Rucka's?) The Punisher where she hunts him down in another country, and he defeats her the only way he legitimately could. Part of a storyline where the Avengers roster takes turns trying to arrest/beat him up.

There's no relevant article to post this on today, so I'll just complain here. My local arthouse megaplex just premiered that Vaxxed "documentary" today. Such bullshit! Glad I'm going to a different oligopolistic corporate chain to watch Civil War tonight.
