The problem with Ben and Leslie is not a lack of conflict, it's that the performers have a brother-sister chemistry.

That all sounds about right.
Why should a sketch show become more like a sitcom? There seems to be an implicit notion that, on some hierarchy the writer has in mind, such a transition would be a progression, which I don't agree with.
Back in my day the Independent Spirit Awards didn't give a damn about Bill Murray, and that's how we liked it.

Yeah, I agree, hokiest part for sure. Urging me to revisit the ending seemed ironic to me.

Hey Todd,
Hey Todd,
This was great, and though it's not stand-up-related, I would have loved it to be a back of the record store story.

That's the episode he submitted.

yep
Odd that NNF's subscription model isn't mentioned in this article.
So St Elsewhere was Community, but with more autism and rape?
This was one of the better uses of Ava for sure. Good episode.
Maybe you guys like comedy but not stand-up. Jen Kirkman's first album is pretty good, I thought. And she's one of my favourite NNF guests. Her 2nd album seemed like a step back, I but I fully expect she has a great one in her. Also, Doug Benson's albums are uniformly strong too, I'd say.
I dropped Maron long ago. The classic episodes - Louis CK, Apatow, Mencia, Dane Cook, a few others - will live forever, but I largely find it to be a pretty dull and self-indulgent (for Maron and the guest) format. As much as I love PFT, I don't really care about his issues with his parents.
