Funny — whenever a woman is successful people always try to find the man nearest to them and give them the credit (Hillary Clinton is another example). Anyway…correlation doesn't always mean causation. The series got its best ratings BEFORE Tom Arnold was involved. But I do agree, seasons 4 and 5 were Roseanne's peak,

Becky and Darlene shared a room.

I love crazy Roseanne. She's always marched to the beat of her own drum. I don't always agree with her, but hey, she's stayed true to who she's always been. We need more liberal feminist women with big mouths. Sure, she sticks her foot in her mouth occasionally. But that's what makes Roseanne, Roseanne. God love her.

I'm a huge Roseanne fan and view it as the greatest sitcom to ever hit television. But as many of you have pointed out, seasons 8 and 9 are painful to watch. Actually, they are unbearable to watch (aside from the episode "The Fifties Show") It's such a shame that Roseanne's weakest seasons were its last two. Not only

Roseanne gave us a weekly dose of reality mixed with humor, and I think we were better off for it. Her show grounded us and, for many, made our lives actually look pretty good compared to hers.
