I'm absolutely astounded that "Return to Cookie Mountain" isn't on this list.

Godspeed You Black Emperor motherfuckers! Where is it?! I'd take Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven over Agtis Byrjun any day of the week. Best post rock of the decade and a damn shame they don't show on any of your lists.

So I'm listening to the OV album
I was intrigued by your description and hit the lala link, and I'd just like to know…

…when it's not your turn.

Forrest Gump goddamnit. Strangely enough, I don't think I've ever managed to watch it start-to-finish, despite dropping everything to see it like a dozen damn times. It's the perfect movie for falling asleep on a weekend afternoon / late at night.

Since a couple people mentioned Half-Life:

As far as video games go, the Fatal Frame series is ridiculously terrifying. I remember how the PS2 controller vibrated in time with the character's heartbeat, and how your only defense against the supernatural was a goddamn camera. I still can't replay the original out of fear of the rope hallway.

I find the album's only real weak point is Fluorescent Half-Dome — it's not the outstanding closer this album deserves. Take off the last track and put Useful Chamber in its place and it's perfect IMO.

(Insert band Warren Oates likes here) has some really great musicians in it!

I already wrote this in another thread, but Dwide, man, you forgot Starless by King Crimson.

I would've bent the rules for BBF3 (because it's just *that* awesome), but oh well.

Zombieland is exciting, it's funny, and it's not scary. In other words, it's an amazingly good time. See it with friends in a packed theater.

For those interested in vinyl
Constellation Records, one of the most wonderful labels around today (no, I'm not a shill), is offering some freaking awesome "first edition" release packages for various albums they're releasing this fall. This album in particular comes with a bunch of goodies. (http://cstrecords.com/)

Well played, Fats.

The whole album is outstanding (enough that I'm surprised it didn't get an A), but the song Two is just something particularly unbelievable. It's one of the few songs that utterly fucks me up every time I hear it, yet I can't listen to it just once, ever. Just… wow.

All the stuff that goes into an album can definitely improve the experience as a whole. Yes, even the music. The other day I mail-ordered Godspeed You! Black Emperor's albums on vinyl, and everything about the entire package is just fantastic.

Not to mention the year isn't anywhere close to over. I'm stoked for the new Flaming Lips.

Eh, even from a casual standpoint I was able to appreciate SC2 more. SC3 just tried to drop so freaking many single player modes in that quite a few of them are just utterly unsatisfying.
