I was never a fan of tattoos. It seems like a pretty irrational dislike now that I think about it, it's just ink on skin. I have a relative who worked at a VA hospital and they've described to me what tattoos look like on the WWII vets. And now I can never get that image out of my head when I see people with tattoos.

I've heard that some people in Indiana may know what an escritoire is though. Hmmmmmm.

You said freedom applies to the extent it leads to racism. I replied that the US government forbids the freedom for businesses to discriminate based on race.

Yes they do? The Civil Rights Act forbids private companies from denying service to people based off of race sex and religion. Because segregated businesses seemed to thrive beforehand.

They do learn a lesson. Other bigots will flock to them once they become more vocal about their beliefs. It's win win!

I've been annoyed at free market defenses of this law that I've been seeing. All else being equal yes, I would not buy from a bigot who would refuse service to me because they hate me for things that don't even affect them. But when does everything else hold equal in reality? I don't have infinite choices for all

Pence (presumably): Gay hasn't even gotten to Indiana yet. We've had rumors in Ohio.

More expensive was the study in determining how much of a WASP you have to be to joke about WASPs. The answer is that they will always find jokes distasteful.

43.216%. It took many painstaking years of research and millions of dollars in grant money to arrive to this conclusion.

You know who else liked to tell people what to do? Hitler! (I'm actually surprised it took this long for someone to Godwin this conversation, even if I'm being sarcastic here)

Because it's not like there is giant neon signs attached to people that reads "BIGOT!" Because when it comes to certain goods and services they might have no other option due to location, or any other various reasons that might hinder their selection?

Yeah, that's what I was guessing.

Because when businesses reveal themselves as bigots, they lose substantial amounts of business. It's not like other bigots will rally in support of them right? There's no recent cases of a company being better off once they played the bigot card right?

I remember seeing a recent NPR article that had a picture of a Klan rally that took place in the city nearest to where I live in the 20's (I live in upstate New York). It's surreal to think that's less than a century ago.

Of course. It's not cherry picking if….. I don't know how to finish that sentence.

I've noticed that people don't seem to quote Leviticus as much anymore. Probably because Leviticus says a lot of things. I've probably violated multiple of those laws today, and they probably weren't even fun activities. Though quoting Paul seems to pop up a lot now.

Sidenote: After finding my Wii U stylus, I resumed my playthrough of Earthbound. Going through the Stonehenge the third Starman Super I found dropped The Sword of Kings. Drop rate is 1 in 128. I nearly flipped out. Made my day really.

Spent most the weekend traveling, and not consuming pop culture really. Friday night though, I watched the movie Airheads. It was occasionally funny, though pretty dated. (It's really, really early 90's, a time which I have on memory of). I also started watching Sirens on Netflix. Though only the pilot, so I don't

Stick around.

Ha, I remember getting BK, DK64 and Jet Force Gemini within the course of two years when I was little. (Well it would be more accurate to say that they were my brothers games. I was 7. I didn't own games). I could never beat them when I was little, because I didn't have the patience to search every nook and cranny.
