During the show's golden age, Lisa episodes where always certainly the best, better than any Homer- or Bart-centric episode. Which means they were among the best of the best of television ever, anywhere.

Ringo, George, and Paul (in that order) have ALL appeared on the Simpsons. I hardley think they could be blamed for not having John guest on an episode. Sure, they didn't treat them like saintly creatures, but that was back when the show was good and well-writen.

I dont dislike Gaga, nor begrudge anyone who counts themselves as a fan. She's a fine pop performer, who at least tries to tie a meaningful message to her work, even though I mostly think of her as a mainstream version of Peaches. But you have to admit that this was a half-hour promo for her career, as opposed to a

On second viewing, I must concede that there were two pretty good jokes: that one above, and the opening voice over where we find out Springfield was the birthplace of the African prince scam and putting a slice of tomato in your grilled cheese. I'll give them that.

The other thing that surprised was just ho screeching and over-the-top everyone's emotions were, esecially Lisa's. I mean, sure, you'd expect som pathos, and even crying, in an episode about unrelenting bullying, but I just see Lisa getting so worked up  it.

I'd actually be kind of interested in watching all the commentaries for seasons 9, 10, 11, 12, etc; just to hear what everyone thought about what they were doing at the time. I wonder how aware they are in hindsight of how bad things started to decline. But since I'd never spend my money on those seasons, that

I'm not aware of te "dish rag episode," thank God, but for me it's a toss up between Homer as Burns' "prank monkey" or Bart as the jockey. I'm not sure which one did it, though I remember both episodes. I probably saw one, thought to myself, "It can't really be getting THIS bad," then had the other just confirm it for

I watched the Cleveland Show last week. I'm pretty sure that image a Auntie Mama farting up her dress was a direct rip-off of Robot Chicken. But, hey, Rolo covered Danzig for the school talent contest. That was pretty cool an unexpected.
