oh yeah -grilling eggplant is the way to go, especially in the summer.

i catch it on tv once in a while - i love it, and for all the goofiness, everything (STILL!) gets tied together at the end with the simple minds song and the perfectly on the nose letter.

risotto - i made my first one this week based on a NY times recipe. tomato risotto. it was just ok because i over cooked it a little. BUT - i grated tomatoes (it called for tomato pulp) for the first time and that was interesting.
