i have the most irrational fear of spiders and there is no fucking way i am clicking that link.

@avclub-8288999e960ebe6aca280a2c31f5645b:disqus - highland park is one of my favorites too. it's really mellow.

i'm in cypher's corner on this one @avclub-6a2ec3076bb494e5c64eb1a422d9fe3d:disqus    better flavor and smokiness from charcoal, but nothing beats turning it full blast for 2-3 minutes before searing.   i have a 3 burner weber that i absolutely love. they also make a 2 burner option.  plus you can get some smoke from

those tacos sound absolutely awesome.

what is the secret to grilling pork chops so that they don't end up like rawhide? i haven't made them in several years because i've always ended up disappointed.

thanks! from the trailer, everything seems to be taking place outside in the sunshine, very much unlike fort frolic (ugh - the masterpiece) or the medical pavillion!  anyway, i'm really looking forward to playing, but i need to find the time.

one of the things i loved (and feared) about bioshock 1 was the creepiness factor. not just creepy, more like jumping out of my seat and having to play with the lights on scary. from the moment you step out of the elevator.   does infinite tap into this creepiness as much?

not only showing up to work looking like that - were they getting high in the office when don returned from hawaii?   "it smells like productivity"    and passed out on the couch?

storytelling….."

yes. cover to cover. i read it in my mid-twenties and many many many times i felt like hornby was channeling my own thoughts. a very strange experience. i should probably re-visit it….

guilty. i do that so frequently i curse at extra deep peanut butter jars because my hands are covered with peanut butter when i try to scrape the bottom of them with a spoon.

thank you everyone for the comments! at the worn out point they were, anything done to them would have been an improvement.

furniture was moved back and forth, room to room.  BIG mistake not doing it when I moved in - advice i gave to @avclub-6e6ba8f8387793dc7660178e8b68beb8:disqus, the new homeowner, downthread.

we are gonna breakdance later.

yes - buying all the stuff you need to maintain a house gets expensive. and like @avclub-8dd007f4a97be79c135c67999bf5b27e:disqus said - if there is anything you want to do, put it on that list. and do your floors and paint *before* moving all your furniture in. i learned that lesson the hard way.

*THAT* is what the catholic church thought it needed to change??!?!?

ahhh!! home fixing up!   just finished refinishing the floors this week…..something i waited far too long to do.

oh man - i'm so sorry about the wallpaper. i've found you might be able to luck out - if it was applied within 15 or so years, it may come off easily, but if it is ca. 1963, you're in trouble.

you'll shoot your eye out kid!

hey!  i'm re-doing my kitchen too. but first i refinished the oak floors of my first floor (dining room, kitchen and living room). that was a major project.
