there are 4 items sitting on my desk in front of me. a can of sprite zero, a tube of cherry chapstick, a pack of american spirits and and atomic fireball hard candy.

i never heard of them either, so i went and checked out some of their music and it's mostly instrumentals, which is a shame because those are some lovely vocal harmonies.

does feta get gooey? i've had warm feta and it seemed to get soft, but i'm thinking gooey like brie or other soft cheeses. does that happen?

salty dogs are great -especially with fresh grapefruit. would be the perfect summer drink if grapefruit was in season then.  i've been adding a splash of seltzer to them and it makes them even lighter.

hmm…in 2 pages of comments, this was the first one that really caught my attention. i guess for me poetry has to hit that sweet spot between trying too hard or being too obvious or too pretentious or too tedious. this one did.

this has been a frustrating winter, workout-wise. i had to quit running due to a herniated disc in my lower back, so i started swimming. then came the surgery and i haven't been able to do anything except walk in the 3 weeks since. UNTIL TODAY! when i was given the ok to start swimming again. it is amazing how…

white turkey chili and a baguette. and a grapefruit. i love grapefruit season.  sweet and juicy just like peaches.  but also like peaches, when grapefruits are not ripe they are terrible.

until @cookiemonster:disqus chimes in, i'm going with the girlscout samoans. there is a little donut shop down the street that makes a donut version. i think both donut and cookie are pretty bad for you though.
